I Have a Nvidia GTX 1080, which are still sold brand new, yet Nvidia won't update mine with the latest drivers? Curious...Besides greed for more money I don't get it.

What country are you in where 1080 is still sold new?

Hard to believe can't source updated driver, how are you searching?

I just searched 1080 driver, got 566.36 5/12/2024.

Description bug, site is US. Search Geforce drivers if not comfortable clicking it, go to official Geforce drivers and do manual search.

I see some on there for sale. I’d guess most of them are 3rd party sellers. I apologize you’re having trouble. The gtx 1080 is a very old card at this point, at least 6-7 years old I would say. If you just purchased the card I’d recommend to return it. Even something like the AMD rx 6600 or 7600 at the entry level should compete with a 1080 and be a lot newer.

Make sure Windows is up to date. There should be no reason you cannot get a driver update for that card. Doing a manual search for your card, it gave me the latest driver to download, that was released 5 days ago.

My computer is up to date. The driver that would not update was Dec 5, 566.36. I really don't know what I would gain from a new GPU. My graphics are fantastic. Oh well. They just want me to spend up to $2000.00 for a new GPU. Thanks to all.

There could be a bug that causing it, in the install pack. Your card is listed as compatible. Nvidia isn't trying to get you to buy a new card. If that was the case, they would have dropped driver support completely.
