the motherboard itself should be in jumperless mode (meaning you dont need to adjust jumpers) by default...you should be able to adjust the values in the BIOS right out of the box...so you dont have to change any jumpers...DrChaos said:
The board has a few different jumpers. I am not sure what all of them do. I read the instructions but am somewhat confused.
I would prefer to use the BIOS instead of manually setting jumpers where possible.
My questions is, should I leave all of the jumper settings as they are (new board bought board from Newegg) or would there be any benefit to manually changing any of the jumper settings that could not be achieved thrrough the BIOS
lol...i hope you're not running win xp on that thing...murdok said:
12mb stick of samsung 2700 and a 2.4 chip
your ram may be holding you back on your cpu overclock...try setting the ratio to 3:4 (or 4:3...i dont remember) and try overclocking your P4 again...you might be able to get higher clock speeds...murdok said:
but i got the chip to only 2.9 ghz......i have never changed the memory ratio. will it be theat much of a performance increase to got to the 4 to 5 ratio?
