My PC is killing my Hard Drives!

So over the last 2 months my PC has caused 2 of my 1TB Hard Drives to reach 100% disk usage and made them stay that way. I recently formatted one of the HDD's moved everything to my 120gb SSD and the SSD has been fine for a month now but when I formatted 1 of my 1TB HDD's after 4 days I'm back to it locking up with 100% disk usage. What the actual $%&* is going on with my PC why is it murdering my HDD's and causing them to be stuck at 100% usage even when the OS is not on the storage device in question!

I have done this numerous times. Even on a 100% clean PC I have had 2 Hard Drives eventually develop the issue of 100% disk usage.

I'll try it but sadly when I boot my HDD str8 up its near impossible to use due to the 100% disk usage. I do have a torrent client called deluge though.
