So I recently started getting blue screen errors on windows (around 3) and every time it was fixed after a simple restart. But today my PC won’t start at all, not even BIOS. My CPU has all lights, fans, etc working properly but monitor can’t detect a signal nor are the lights on keyboard or mouse working.

Here’s what I tried:
  1. Tried cleaning the whole PC. Didn’t work.
  2. Unplugged and replugged all cables internal and external. Didn’t work.
  3. Tried switching from Graphics card to DVI. Didn’t work.
  4. Switched RAM Slots. RAM seems good.
  5. Checked for any hardware damage to Hard Disk, Ram, GPU, CPU, Cables, etc. Looked fine to the eye.

My PC is very old and has been working fine for its purpose (for basic personal computing for my dad). Here are my specs-
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Nvidia Gefore GT610
Kingston DDR3 RAM 2GB x2
Very old intel motherboard (ddr3)

This PC was my first build for my dad around 10 years ago. Only things relatively new are the graphics card and psu (changes last year). I know it’s very old and needs an upgrade, but if I could fix this temporarily it would help a lot! Thanks for reading. All help is appreciated 😁

Solution
Power supply would be an obvious place to look. A 10 year old power supply could easily have bad capacitors or other problems. Do you have any friends with "spare" parts ?

Thanks for the reply! The power Supply and Graphics card are just 1 year old. Everything else is 10 yo. I tried a ram from my friend and nothing changed so it’s not the ram. Ill check the PSU I guess.
