My PC Isn't absorbing all the internet speed???

Hi, I live in australia and today we finally got NBN installed and the NBN Router, my moms laptop on a speedtest shows around 40-50 MBPS DL and 30-50 MBPS UPLOAD, but mine literally shows like 500kb to 10MBPS and also a low upload speed, and my net is alot slower than it is on her laptop (mines pc), why is this?

If your desktop is also on wireless, it may be a range or interference issue. Test things from the same room the wireless router is in.

Hi, I found out what was going on, turns out NBN is bullshit and their routers are SINGLE BAND...brb moving to IInet

I had strange situation like this. My PC tower had a Wi-Fi PCI card installed and it is located in a different room. When I have the back of my tower facing away from the router (facing the out side wall) I would get horrible ping and bandwidth. When I face the back of the tower towards the center of the house (where my router is located) great ping and bandwidth. This was all in a very small room. The PC tower and router are in different rooms.
