Hello everybody
My name is Ryan
And I would like to ask a question to all you masterminds of tech about my current problem with my system.

I have a GTX 1070 which has gone through an RMA which has come back with nothing wrong with it and they said it was in good health.
then I tried in my fav game WarThunder
After two matches square graphical glitches are every where on my screen and my pc freezes and sometime restarts.
This also happens when i close applications like task manager and discord and others.
can anyone help me solve this problem?
And you anyone can I will be very grateful.

Can provide pictures if needed.

thank you

Ehh? 40°C at idle. Otherwise gpus most commonly hit 70-80°C when gaming.

Deleting unwanted files does absolutely nothing for gpu temps. Airflow does almost everything. The only files that affect gpus are drivers and the game files, neither of which warrant being deleted.

When the gpu was tested, most likely it was an open test bench of some sort. Those squares are most likely artifacts and are most commonly caused by overheating vram. It's a 1070. It was released in 2017/2018 so is about 3 years old. Shouldn't need to be repasted or repadded. But airflow is a must.

You can't check temps for vram. The only thing that reports temps is the processor (gpu) but if that's high, chances are good the VRM's and vram are higher, as they often hit @ 90-100°C .

Youll need to check your gpu temps, motherboard/case temps and see how hot things are getting inside. That'll clue you into if the airflow is bad or worse. Try pulling the side of the case, if you get no artifacts, guaranteed it's an airflow/overheat issue. If still getting artifacts, most likely will need to check the condition of the padte/pads.
