after research, i've seen some posts that say that hw monitor have issues with asus boards and show wrong temperatures.

i went to Core Temp and it says that max temp before shutdown is 100 degrees so it must be wrong, but still it smells burnt :/

i think i'll just wait and see if the same smell occurs during the next few days.

I am going to buy a Corsair H100i v2 soon, just gotta wait till i get my paycheck.

check with aida64...if the problem persist, wait for the WC and then test it again

aida shows around 27-29 degrees. ill just remove hw monitor.

probably cpu thats causing the smell, it's idling at 41-45 and bumps up to above 80 degrees if i play a cpu heavy game. this'll probably cause damage in the long run, at least im getting a new cooler soon.

EDIT: Opened a window smell's almost gone.

Go into your UEFI BIOS Setup and check your motherboard and CPU temperatures and system voltages there. That's how you determine whether or not HWMonitor is a piece of crap.
