Question My PC went to sleep and won't turn on.

Motherboard LED is on when power is supplied, but if I press the power button on the Mobo to turn it on, nothing happens. Light stays on, no fans spin, not even a beep (I don't believe I have a way to enable sound for the mobo sadly.)

Recently my Motherboard straight up died on me. Was a Gigabyte Z170x-Gaming 7 board, and I replaced it with another identical board. I've tried reseating the PCU, I've tried the cardboard, I've tried resetting CMOS, just about everything this entire forum has suggested for "Motherboard LED is on, but no boot" I'm an amateur at this stuff, so likely a lot of technical terms will fly over my head, but I'll research answers given to better understand. I am desperate to fix this, as I am a night shift worker whose free time goes to his PC, gaming and socializing with friends over the internet and as it stands now my schedule looks like work and sleep with nothing in between.

My specs are as follows

If I am missing anything please feel free to ask and I will gladly try my best to find the answer.

Edit: Update: Upgraded PSU to Corsair RM750 and it still didn't boot or post. I've reseated the CPU, fixed a few bent pins in the socket, and have exhausted other ideas.

  1. Have you got an alternative PSU to try? Your PSU might be at fault.
  2. Try removing two RAM sticks - one from each bank. if that doesn't help, try removing another 1 leaving a single stick in.
I unfortunately cannot access the other PSU in my GFs PC as it's a prebuilt rig and the PSU is locked away inside the case.

I have attempted the ram removal as well. When I had to replace the Mobo the ram trick worked for me when booting it up the first time as I was finally getting error codes on the Mobo, but those tricks aren't working now sadly and I cannot get even a code from the Mobo to see what the issue is.

Wish I had seen the crash but I was asleep so I don't even know what the problem that turned it off was.
