Hi, so, I discovered this issuew a few days ago, when my pc simply stopped going into sleep or hibernate mode. When I command it to go to sleep only the monitor turns off, but the pc is still up and running, when I press a key to wake it there is no signal to the monitor, I have to hard shut down, the same with hibernation.

Already tried: Reconnecting cables, checking power plan settings, now nothing in it should stopped the pc to fully sleep. Updated windows.

Update: Now I can confirm that even the shut down is not working! What do you think? Win10 or mobo issue?

What changed recently before the problem started? If you added some app that has resident tasks, that might be doing it. Start Task Manager and click on the Startup tab. You can disable things there one or two at a time and reboot to see if you can isolate the problem.
Another good thing to do is to run open an administrator command prompt and issue these two commands:
SFC /Scannow
Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I changed the power plan from balanced to High performance. I thought that something I did caused the issue, so I returned to balanced, but that did not work. I will try what you proposed and comment again in a couple of hours.

Ok, I tried what you suggested, I checked the startup, nothing unusual there, the Scannow returned that everything was ok, and the image from the Dism command was installed, also I forced shutdown by pressing shift and the shutdown option. Same, the monitor screen turn off but the pc kept going.
