A 32bit Operating System will only be able to address a maximum of approximately 4GB of RAM. If you want to have access to the full 8GBs you will need to upgrade to a 64bit Operating System.

As badasafish says, you will need to upgrade to a 64bit OS

agree with above comments, 32bit will not let you to add more than 3GB ram.
64bit can do the job.
