This is pretty normal. Some of your ram is reserved for hardware memory addressing.

But my friends is 15.9 when he has 16gb why's mine 6.9

Go into the bios and make sure the iGPU is disabled.

Most the time the Onboad Video will reserve some memory. It will only show you what is left over.

The 2600x does not have onboard graphics, but I wouldn't expect it to change how much your system reserves, I'd imagine it would depend more on ram, but feel free to correct me.

YES!

Or if you keep the APU and disable the integrated GPU using an external GPU, you will have your full memory size. the iGPU uses RAM as video RAM so that;s why you have less RAM.

Why not just enter the bios and see if the igpu is disabled as suggested before spending money. Because if it is disabled then thats not the reason the ram is reserved and changing the cpu may not help.

Well i'm upgrading to the Ryzen 2600x in 2 months anyway but currently i'm using a bad APU and isn't good with my external GPU and i went into the bios and i do not see theIGPU i watched videos of other people doing it then have another set of settings they can go into something like AMD CBS i do not have it.. so where do i disable it then???? i cant find the "IGPU" so how do i turn it off???

In the bios go to advanced-> AMD CBS-> NB10 common options-> GFX configuration
