If I do not overclock my CPU and my case has decent airflow, will a Noctua NH-D15 G2 be sufficient to cool an AMD 9950x3d CPU? What about an Intel 285k?
Did you go with the HBC version?I've been using the Noctua NH-D15 G2 with an Intel 285K for the past 2 months. I ran the Aida 64 Extreme System Stability Test and there was NO throttling. However I must note that I have 8 Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 fans in my case (4 in 4 out).
I went with the regular version because my personal opinion is that the whole cpu curvature problem is overrated. But that's just me.Did you go with the HBC version?
Personally I prefer positive pressure since most cases have so many holes in the back panel that any excess air can exhaust that way.I will have 4x NF-A14x25 intake fans and 6x NF-A12x25 exhaust fans. I'm aiming for slightly negative case pressure. Sound like I'll be fine. Thanks to both of you!
