Hey guys I recently added an ssd to my pc and reinstalled windows onto it. I then decided to overclock with the already setup oc formula on my board in the bios. It basically just has profiles already setup for overclocking. I oc'd to the 4.2 profile and it oc'd mr ram to 2300 mhz (it was 1600 originally). Ever since I did all of this my ram only runs in single channel mode. Can anyone please help?

specs:
mobo:ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer AM3+
cpu: fx:8150 oc'd to 4.2
ram😛atriot viper 2x4 gig 1600 mhz sticks
drives: samsung ssd, 2 wd 1 tb hdd
gpu: r9-280
psu: corsair 750 watt modular
cooler: h100i GTX

Hi, I've looked but I'm knew to overclocking and have never really messed with the bios. I looked around but I couldn't find a setting.

Reboot your computer, and repeatedly press F2 while it's rebooting to enter your BIOS. Tab over to the Memory section and see if there are any settings to change the channel it's running in. Was it running in dual channel before you overclocked the RAM?

Try bringing it back to 1600, or something not as far overclocked like 1866 and see how it handles it.

I took off the overclock, reset my bios to factory, flashed bios, still only running in single channel. Wonder what it could be :/

Sadly no, I think I might just pick a couple 8 gig sticks and see how that works considering I needed to upgrade anyway.
