I recently got a new PC, the motherboard is a MSI A520M Pro. The CPU is a Ryzen 4600G. I ended up getting mixed ram, one is a Vengeance 8GB 3200Mhz and the other is a Lexar 8GB 3200Mhz.

I can't make the ram run at 3200Mhz, the highest speed I can set it in the bios is 2866Mhz, if I try any other higher number the PC refuses to boot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Might want to pass on a link to each of those sticks but if you also did a search across our forums, you'll learn that mixing and matching ticks of ram only leads to instability.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

The ram sticks are:
1 x Corsair Vengeance 8GB CM4X8GD3200C16K4 DDR4 3200MHz
1 x Lexar 8GB LD4U08G32C22ST DDR4 3200MHz

I updated the motherboard bios to the latest version. 7C96v1I 2024-08-21

I did think mixing ram could be an issue but I was very hopeful I would get 3200Mhz.

The system did come with the Vengeance ram but with me being rather frugal I opted to pair it with a cheaper alternative. Even if I did buy the more expensive Vengeance ram I wasn't sure it would be 100% compatible as it does not come as a kit? But I guess same make is a lot better than different makes.
