Router model: Huawei B312-926

This is the log:

I would talk to the ISP and see if they have something that might be causing it. Exactly 2 hours is not some kind of hardware defect it has to be some setting and I doubt it is something you have control over.
If you can check how long the DHCP timeout is on the wan port. I doubt they have it set for 2 hours. You can't really change that but in theory when dhcp works correctly it will actually check multiple times before it expires and attempt to renew the lease for another period of time. It would only disconnect at the end of the lease if it could not get a extension.

thanks for the answer, when i talk to them about the disconnect they say everything is fine so i thought my router was the problem, it seems the lease time was 1 day, it just got disconnected again.

This is the stupid part about having ticket close rates. They reward getting the customer off the phone and not really fixing the issue.

You can look for some option in the router that would cause disconnect. Maybe some stupid green power setting that the wan port is going to sleep or low power or something. I highly doubt it.

A issue with router firmware or hardware would be random. When it is on a fixed schedule it has to be a setting and I have not seen one that will cause what you are seeing.

If you get desperate factory reset the router and maybe you get lucky and there was something set you did not realize causes this.

Exactly, they blame my pc setting.

I did look up on the router setting and also on the ethernet setting, i disabled all that say low power, sleep when not use, still disconnecting.

i tried to search my router firmware seems they didn't even have a website for it or i just doesn't know how to find it, it's Huawei B312-926, got some update recently.

i did that too many times, still disconnecting, imma try it one more time and made the lease 1 week instead, let's see if it's still disconnected, if it's not fix imma try borrow my friend router and see if the problem still there, if it's fix then yes, it's my isp the culprit right?

Does the router have a modem or optical connection in it. You likely can't borrow your friends router they are locked to a account.

If the router uses a ethernet wan port you can just plug your pc directly into the modem to test without the router.

Curious - especially that 2 hour interval. I.e. "Periodic".

From the logs: "INTERNET_TR069_R_UMTS1" is a consistent entry.

Did a bit of Googling.

Found this link:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TR-069

And I found these links:

https://www.avsystem.com/blog/csp/configure-tr069-connect-acs-server-5steps/

All and all (being well out of my comfort zones) I am wondering about: 1) the immediate configuration of the Huawei B312-926 router, and 2) if there is any remote management involved.

Will defer to those who have more in depth knowledge and experience with such things.

And have more understanding of what the router's logs are indicating.

i really didn't know anythig about this but i forgot to mention the b312-926 is a gsm router, i check ipconfig/all and this is the image can't i increase the lease time?

That router is 4G LTE router with only one ethernet port.

It looks like the router won't be able to renew its DHCP without losing the connection first. And you probably will get a new WAN IP every 2 hours.

It's either a defective device or ISP's fault.
yes that is the one, im contacting them now, might be the device is defective, idk is this help or not but this is the ipconfig/all it is set to expired every 2 hours, is there a way to increase that? if no i will change my device to new one

Call ISP and tell them the error messages you got. And why did you get disconnected every two hours.
i did, they tell me everything is fine, i found out the lease expired time is every 2 hours and they say nothing till now, i'll wait if they ever will reply to me

Huawei has the worst manuals it seems. They are almost impossible to find and do not show the actual configuration screens. It tends to be impossible to know what the screens and option are without actually having the router yourself. Makes it almost impossible for people like us on a forum to help much.

So I am now assuming the lease time you are seeing is on your PC and not on the router itself.

Generally there is some menu on the router where you can change the DHCP settings. But again I have no way of knowing what any screen looks like to even try to help you.

Now I assume the IP you are seeing that you removed from your post are something like 192.168.x.x. These are private IP and do not cause a issue to post....do not bother to repost the details don't matter unless you don't understand the following.

Although it just hides the problem what you can do is set the IP on your pc manually. Since it will not be using DHCP it will not timeout.

Find the IPv4 setting page on your network adapter. It varies a bit depending on the version of windows and the patch level.
Check the box to manually enter data and put in the data from the IPCONFIG sceen you posted.

There are three things. The IP the router assigned to you, the mask which is likely 255.255.255.0, and the gateway ip which is the router ip. It tends to be something linke 192.168.x.1 Set the DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1

This method though is not optimum. The router may now give out the same IP to another device...especially stupid hauwei devices that don't check if it is already used. Technically you want to assign a IP that is outside the DHCP range....but this is on the same screen on the router that lets you change the lease time. Let say your router is giving you 192.168.1.105 you genrally can set it to a very high number like 192.168.1.250 and the router will not duplicate it. Remeber though these are just examples you need to use the IP ranges your router is using.

In many ways I am glad they ban huawei stuff from the USA there support is horrible.

ah my mistake, i thought it's important stuff that i need to cover, yes there is a menu on router setting dhcp this is it, i will try to set my ip manually then and see if its work

That is extremely strange it says right there the lease time is 1 day.

Be sure your pc actually has 192.168.8.x IP.

From this screen you can see the range of IP it will use. The safe ranges for you to assign are

192.168.8.2---192.168.8.100 You can also use 192.168.8.201---192.168.8.254.

on the ipconfig yes, it say that was the ip
i can use 250?

if i change device will this problem still happen with same isp of course?

I see IPv6, which tends to be more problematic with some software. One of your screenshots also showed IPv6 is temporary. On your computer you might try an experiment: Disable IPv6. This is not usually a problem on any LAN (if you had an Internet facing IP then it would matter).

EDIT: In other words, use only IPv4.
