Hello everyone, I probably have a simple fix, but I have not been able to rectify the problem. I will do my best to explain what is going on in detail.
First,
So what is happening is that if I don't consistently restart my PC whenever I load into a game, the screen goes completely black. Then I kill the game, reset my PC and everything will be fine. It doesn't matter what game it is or even what game launcher I am using. It will do it no matter what.
Second,
After the resetting my PC every time my game goes black, eventually it lead to a Kmode not handled error and would get stuck in a constant restart loop. When this happens I need to put in a windows installation media, then boot from there and restore my PC from a previous backup. I really do not want to continue doing this as I am a Twitch streamer and if I make changes to my stream, I don't want to consistently lose my stuff and have to get it all back.
What I have done so far,
I have updated my display drivers, my network drivers, windows updates, ran system checks, and cleaned up the PC as much as I know how to. Eventually, though it returns. The first time I have the blue screen of death with a restart loop, I completely restored my PC back to how I got it from HP, and that worked well for about a week. However, in that week's time, I didn't try playing any games, just normal usage like word, and surfing the web.
My setup, (Sorry for lack of information, I am not super well versed in PC components.)
-Hp Omen Obelisk 875
-Intel i7 9700
-Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 super
