my task manager and cmd prompt both shows that i have 2 memory ram slots, but i see only one in the back .. iam a bit confused. my laptop is lenevo b490 2013 model which has a ram of 2gb ddr3 which i see in the back ..so there is no chance of any ram soldered in motherboard..iam very confused ..please help me

Its possible the 2nd slot in under the 1st one, as videos of it show its spring loaded so 2nd is under 1st
take stick out and see.

If your motherboard already has a RAM in the top slot, you will need to remove that first, to show the slot underneath. With the existing RAM removed, you should be able to see two sets of retainer clips - one for the top slot, and one for the lower slot.

there is a model in India with just 1 slot but if your PC is saying it has 2, they should be there.

Some units of B490 came with 1 DIMM and 2 DIMM slots, this depends on the Chipset equipped on its Motherboard.
