Question My usb c port is not recognizing my cable/monitor

I ran out of hdmi ports on my mini itx motherboard ( ASRock AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard ) so i bought a usb c to hdmi cable but its not getting picked up when i plug it in. i already contacted the cable manufacturer support to see if i got a defective cable or if they could help me but i was wondering if anyone else had this type of issue and can help out
