Does it get hotter than usual? I'd recommend that you try the flash drive with another computer to see if the same thing happens. Also, is it recognized in Disk Management or Device Manager? If it's recognized in Disk Management you could try assigning it a new letter, here's how to do that:

to see if it's recognized in Windows Explorer after that. If you don't need any data recovered you could try reformatting it with the manufacturer's formatting tool, to see if that fixes the pen drive. Another option is - uninstalling it from Device Manager, then reconnect it again so that Windows can install its drivers again and see if that fixes...
