My Westinghouse 26" LCD tv screen only shows vertical color spectral lines on a black background. Is the screen fixable?

you would have to ask an electronics repair person what the common form of failure is.

people on this forum might say 'my monitor did that too'
but
that doesnt tell you if the lcd panel is bad or if the circuit that controls the lcd panel is bad.
(or if it is some other circuit board that failed and what you see on the screen is simply a result of the different voltages going through the circuit board)
