necessary to lower ram timing?

i OC'd my 4600+ x2 @ 2796 (233 X 12) and my OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 is at 466MHz, would be even necessary lower the timing and how would go about it do?

the default values for them are 4-4-4-15 @ 1.9-2.1v. but mine show up as 5-5-5-15, 22 clocks, command rate 2T

Welcome to the forums!

You can change that in the bios. Manual memory timings instead of auto.
Be sure to check for errors with Prime95.

The faster the fsb the higher the timings have to be to run with out errors. If the timings weren't auto adjusted by the motherboard n00bs who overclock their systems that don't know what they are doing would be asking, "why won't my system boot"?

Not if you can safely raise the voltages.

so i change it in the BIOS, should i do them 1 by 1 and going down by one?


ok so i tried lowering the timing, not matter i do it auto restarts after 10secs in OS so i guess its to unstable to expect 4-4-4-15 timing. Anyone here got solution to this prob

I'd raise the voltage a little and see if it's stable.

My ram is possibli the same as you. OCZ sli edition. im running it 920mhz 4-4-4-15 2.1V 2T
