I have an old PC and I can't play new video games on it. My CPU seems to be ok (Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)), but I only got 512 Mb of RAM and NVidia GF 5200. Will 1Gb of ram and NVidia GF 7600 512Mb help. My goal is to play Team Fortress 2 btw.

That system will play TF2 just fine WITH a ram and gpu upgrade...what other games are you interested in? this system can play titles like cod and l4d but any newer games will most likely be out of the question...

So...you should have done this before hand :(

List your resolution...list your budget...list your exact specs...such as psu specs and motherboard specs....

Just so you know a pentium 4 is not a true dual core. Hyper threading tricks the OS into thinking there are 2 cores but the performance isn't close to that of a true dual core. (which would be a pentium D)
