If my pc has a serial port, a vga port and a display port, what montier do I need? What do I need to look for when buying a used moniter? And how would it connect. Would it need all?

what exactly will you be using the display for,
the resolution you want to output,
the refresh rate you want to have,
where you will be seated in relation to it,
the size of a display you want to use and space you have for it,
plus many more factors should play in when picking a new display.
