i went to ebay and got a bunch of computer parts that i think i got a really good deal on. so i got a 3.2GHz CPU, a 512mb graphics card (a 7800 GeForce), a 500gb hard drive and a 4GB RAM (edit: the RAM consists of two 2gb chips).
so i got all these really great parts and i couldn't wait to get it all together, but i still need a motherboard. i know that it's stupid of me to try to find this part last but i thought it would be an easy thing to get. i need something that will support all of the parts that i got and it needs to be less than $75. i don't care if it's used or not. i found a bunch of them on ebay but many times they end up not being able to support one or two of the things. usually they are around 40 to 50 dollars used but i can't find a single used one that works with all my parts.
if anybody knows a place where i can get this for a good price i would be more than happy, thanks.

i don't know what the RAM thing is called but i got this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-4GB-2GB-X2-DDR2-800-PC2-6400-DIMM-MEMORY-RAM-4-GB_W0QQitemZ290184975901QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item290184975901

i don't know too much about computer part names and stuff like that, i know what they are but i just don't know the terminology
i forgot what the CPU specs were, but i know that it was an intel pentium 4 that runs at 800MHz, also (obviously) i know that it is a 3.2GHz processor. i thought that CPU's were pretty standard so i don't know much about it.

Okay, first off there are a few things that we need for information.
1) CPU is 3.2ghz, but it could be s478 for s775. We need to know which one it is. My guess is that it's s478, but don't know for sure.
2) What kind of video card do you have? AGP? PCI-e? This will allow us to fine tune your mobo selection. If it's an AGP video card, than this would limit a mobo that can handle your DDR2 800mhz memory.
3)Is your hard drive a EIDE or SATA one? Are you adding additional drives? DVD/CD? and if so, what type are they (EIDE or SATA)?

These are all relavent to what type of mobo you will need to fit all of the parts together. The mobo is usually the 1st thing that I would buy, since it holds all of the parts. I know you said that you didn't think getting a mobo later wouldn't be too difficult, but for an informed and educated builder that can be true. If you know what your basic mobo is going to be (Intel/AMD), what type of memory (DDR2/DDR), and what the video card is going to be (AGP/PCI-e) than buying the mobo last won't be too bad. Current mobo's use PCI-e video slots, DDR2 memory, and SATA HD or DVD/CD connections. If your adding more than 2 EIDE drives to an updated mobo, you'll have problems. Most current mobo's only have 1 EIDE connection, which only alows 2 EIDE type drives. Currently you can buy CD/DVD drives with a SATA connection, shich alleviates the connection restrictions. If you can give us more information, or link us what you bought, we can help you out. We can guess all day, but won't be able to further assist you if we don't know some more information.

The memory sounds like it's newer. 2x2 gig of DDR2 800mhz, not sure if the rest is going to work out, but we'll see with more information.
