Hi !

Can anyone please suggest how to distinguish between damaged card or damaged PCI express slot on motherboard? Except trying GPU on other motherboard ...what's the quick way?

Getting normal single beep during POST......sometimes mobo gives single beep at RANDOM time (long after successful login)...whats failing??

Recently changed CMOS battery .......it was beeping continuously....then i cleared CMOS .......removed all componets....still beeped continusly......then i let it beep in order to count it ........it was far more than what AMI BIOS suggest........then suddenly after beeping several times ...it gave short 3 beeps ...pressing start button again let me into BIOS with cleared CMOS...... entered BIOS then saved time and date ...in order to check CMOS battery ...it's working .

But GPU gives error while running NVEnc 5.20 with latest drivers:
cuInit error:0x3e7 (CUDA_ERROR_UNKNOWN)
Failed to initialize CUDA.

Card is detected in device manager ....it's fan is working.....Windows system event is full with schannel error:

If by any chance GPU failed then please suggest current equivalent GPU for(Nvidia Only):

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-S1
Processor: Intel Pentium G3220 3GHZ
Current GPU : GTX-750 Ti
Ram: 8GB
OS : Windows 7 64 bit ultimate.

Thanks.

Pretty much every way you troubleshoot a system is a long route, so short of trying the GPU in the slot(in question) there's no other way to see if the PCIe slot on the board is good or bad.

I'm very tempted to ask what the make and model of the PSU is and it's age, given how old that platform is.

Thanks for responding.

PSU: Corsair VS 450 (4 years Old)
GPU: MSI GTX 750 TI (3.5 years old...just out of warranty :()
System was assembled in 2014 and daily used (8 to 10 hours) for CPU & GPU mining since 2017.

Update:

Tried new PSU (Gigabyte P450B).....GPU making loud noise (plz check the audio loud gpu).....gives output via VGA for few minutes and then suddenly ...mobo or psu gives a beep with screen turning bright (not turning off or responding). Yet to try other interface like DVI & HDMI.

Mobo's VGA is working alright.

Also a strange device noise is there during boot up (plz check strange noise) most probably it's Asus Blu Ray writer (which has stopped burning blu-rays....only burning dvds......) ...I hope something is not loose like earthing ....causing electric short).

Also I have attached image ...which shows fishy interface with some soldering missing on gpu (I guess) and yeah i remember after attaching new PSU and booting with GPU installed ...the pc gave 1 beep with 2 short beeps few seconds later....guess video memory failure.....

Not sure ......need advice ...will try gpu on working system...

Do you know any alternatives for GTX 750 ti? ...(I loved it).......plz suggest nvidia platform only.

Thanks.

UPDATE:

GPU not working ....verified
.....but strange sound noise during POST is there.

A strange device noise is there during boot up (plz check strange noise) most probably it's Asus Blu Ray writer (which has stopped burning blu-rays....is only burning dvds......) ...I hope something is not loose like earthing .... electric short).

Or this is just a normal POST noise. It's still there after changing PSU from Corsair VS 450 to Gigabyte P450B. Also sometimes there is noise like some metal is vibrating when CPU is on 100% load after few minutes.
