Hi

Okay so I have a couple of questions. I want to build my own gaming PC but I firstly need to know if it is possible to use parts bought from USA in South Africa? Spesifically just the cpu, gpu and motherboard? Are PC components universal? I understand I would need to buy the PSU here for voltage purposes. My build is as follows : i5 6500 3.2ghz
Msi GTX 1070 gaming X
Msi z170a gaming m5 mobo
1tb western digital hdd
250 gb samsung ssd
Phanteks p400s case
G.skill F4 2×4gb 2400mhz RAM
Optical drive?
And I need a good 550watt psu around the $70 mark please?

Thank you all in advance and please give any recommendations if you feel like it! I can help all the advice I can get :)

Solution
Here is what I have for you.
If you're not overclocking, i'll put a build below! :)
PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/bHpRTH
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/bHpRTH/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($82.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($64.99 @ Best Buy)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($65.49 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card ($429.99 @ B&H)
Case: Rosewill Galaxy-01 ATX Mid Tower Case...
In general, seems to be ok. Now, the motherboard, there is nothing wrong with the Z* mobos, but they're almost for OC, so, you can downgrade it to an H* motherboard (for ex: GA-H170M-D3H).
HDD: Search the Blue one from WD with serie X, they works @ 7200RPM and almost have the same performance than a black one.

Are you going to pick the PSU from a custom site or something similar? If i can i give you a link for a good PSU, but, try to search for EVGA Supernova, XFX or Seasonic ones.

Yup, 550w should be more than enough for overclocking.
Put it this way, it can easily run a 6700k at stock speeds with a 1070 right?
Overclocking both the CPU and graphics card is only going to increase TDP by about 20w each worst case if you're going for some heavy OCs.
This will still keep the power draw inside the rated speeds provided you're not going for any crazy 4.8GHz overclocks. :)
You don't even really need to OC the 1070, GPU Boost 3.0 does most of the work anyway.
If you're feeling nervous about wattages, get the S12II 620w, only goes for about $5 more.
