thank you for the help. Just remember everyone was a newb at one point. hehe

You need to go with a 3 x 2GB kit (or 6 x 2GB or 3 x 4GB would work too) in order to use the Triple Channel memory:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226050

Consider this mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104076 I like it a little better than my 518

I personally wouldn't spend that much money on a Graphics card. I prefer single GPU graphics cards because I don't feel like relying on (waiting for) SLI profiles. I would get an EVGA GTX 285.

I am very happy with my 625W modu82+ power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194027 Although, you may consider getting a higher wattage PSU if your going to stick with the GTX 295.

The ASRock motherboard has gotten good reviews, but I still don't trust them and would get an Asus or Gigabyte motherboard insted but that is just a personal preference.

^ That's a pretty good build...
Can you tell at what resolution do you game ??
I ask this because for resolutions upto 1920X1200, the GTX 275 performs very similar to GTX 285 and is about $100 less...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127429

And do you require 12GB of RAM ?? For gaming, and other general multitasking, anything over 6GB is an overkill...
But if you still want to go 12GB, then get 2 of these...Good timing, cheap and XMP profiles...

PSU - As you want to overclock and go SLI, the Corsair 750TX is the best option...

thanks gkay09,

I updated my build, i think im going to stay with the 12gs of Ram. Im pretty sure im gunna get that power supply because ive heard so much about it but on terms of graphics cards, so far i want to stay with the gtx 285. What are the differences between the 275 and the 285 thats worth $100+

The 285 is not that good of a deal for the cost of fps. btw...what in the world do you need 12 gigs of triple channel RAM for ? That much RAM might hinder your o/c not to mention the heat that's going to be produced when all 6 sticks are side by side on that mobo. And what is your monitors resolution ?

Note that you have 30 days to register your card to get lifetime warranty like evga.

Alright so i geuss im going the 275 route, saves money so thats good.

I wanted more then 6 gigs but from my noob experience the next step is 12 gigs. What would you suggest?

3x2 gigs for now. The only time you need 12 gigs of that RAM is if your going to be doing photo shop professionally (that's just an example). Seriously... 6 gigs of that RAM is probably more than what you will ever need.

Alright you guys got me, ill trust you.

So which Ram would you suggest, I dont kno which ones to get.

I know that those Corsair Dominators are over priced

Thanks for the advice but im pretty sure im gunna get some new ones for free do to my dad being good friends with a owner of a computer company. So i can get things like that for free.

Alright, Ive updated everything that you guys have mentioned.

What do you think??

Im at $1490 with shipping and taxes included

Haha, alright after many revisions and updates i think im there.

So right now if i were to go order all this and set it up im good to go.

Not missing anything???

thanks gkay09
