i am planing to upgrade my CPU with AMD R9 290. i just want to make sure that it will work fine with my current CPU components. if not what components should i also upgrade. ??? or what would be the best build ???

Current CPU has these components :
intel DH55HC Motherboard
intel core i3-540 3.4 ghz processor
8 GB Kingston memory
WD 1 TB Hard
cooler master chasis elite 330 with 420 watt power supply

Yeah i didn't realise how much my cpu was holding me back when i upgraded my gpu at the start of the year its better to build a whole new system if you can spend $1000 you can get a low to mid range gaming system.
From personal experiences i would recommend making a new system.
