Hey Guys!
This is my first time to use your forums, but I've been a big fan of Tom's website for great reviews and pc guides. I have recently taken enough courage to build my first pc. To many of you it might seem a breeze but I just want to build a simple, yet powerful gaming pc to play BF2 and COD 4 very soon. My budget is around a $1000 which I think is a great starting point for a first pc build. Currently I have a AMD Atholon 2700 XP Processor with a 7600 GT VC, 120 Gig HD, 1.5 Gig of PC3200 RAM. So, Yes, I'm definitely due for a update but what a better time than now.
I'm not sure if I should go AMD or Intel. I know intel does lead as far as performance but with AMD's price cuts have made things interesting. I think a good choice for a VC would be the 8800 GT or newly debut of 8800GTS 512mb. I know this is already long so please give me any advice, buying tips or anything.
Thanks
