Need advice on which 1080 ti for custom loop

Couldn't decide if this should be a gpu or water cooling thread, but I plan to begin my new build soon revolving around an ASUS Hero X mobo, i7-8700k, and a 1080 ti.. The thing is, I plan to do a custom loop on the cpu and gpu (and OC both) this time around. I'm having trouble choosing which 1080 ti to use with it, considering price and specs.

I'm new to water cooling and don't know a lot about overclocking, either.
I'm looking at:
ASUS Strix OC ~$950
Poseidon ~$1,100
MSI Aero OC ~$750

Normally I'd take the Strix, but since I'm going water I'd think Poseidon might make more sense.. Aero doesn't seem great and so I'd normally never even consider it.. But that price for what cards cost right now is great.

I'd like to OC to a nice spot (I've heard on average 1080 ti's stay at 2000mhz pretty well) which brings me to my next question. Do the stock specs matter when overclocking with a custom loop? Can the Aero OC just as high, stable and cool as the other 2 would, or will it always be at some sort of disadvantage?

Appreciate all advice!
