I have tried several times to restore an Aspire (Acer) 5334-2153 to its factory default settings for a work project, however, when I press alt f10 in combination upon startup the only thing that happens is it makes an obnoxiously loud beeping noise then basically prompts the screen that says you forced the comp to shut down rather than actually doing so via the start menu.

When I, upon startup, hit just f10 i get the edit boot options screen
"Eidit Windows boot options for: windows 7

path \windows\system32winload.exe

partition: 2 (btw I have selected the PQServices hidden partition in another unsucessfull attempt to factory reset)
Hard Disk: letters#lettersojfiojwefiojfiowej
[ /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN{{

.

When I tried to restore via the start up of the acer recovery management program it is non existant, which has further complicated the issue.

Additionally I have entered the advanced boot options via f8 and go into <repair your computer> I am prompted with a user name selection (the former owner), and a homegroupuser$ option each with unknown passwords, even to the previous owner. So I can't restore it that way

Also in the same menu I have tried directory services restore mode; this initiates a loading log of all the files running on the comp and then does nothing but a normal start up.

We do not have the recovery disk, is there any possible way of restoring this computer manually that I may have over looked?

You can make your own recovery disk or you can even put a recovery drive on USB. If you boot from a DVD or flash disk, it will go to Windows options and you can simply enter the serial key located on the COA sticker on the bottom.

BTW I just disabled D2D recovery, is this of any relevance or should it be enabled?

I read in a similar thread describing how to get into the hidden recovery partition that this should be disabled in order to successfully access and restore the computer via PQService.

Es correcto o No es correcto?

I am a complete novice to all of the things that you just described;

how would you create your own recovery disk? would that not require programming knowledge, or obtaining a pirated version offline?

And how does one boot from a USB flash disk.

Please ellaborate; thanks.
