Need Best WIFI adapter to use with Cantenna?

We vacation at several places where there is only wireless access around the activity centers of the resort. I can get a signal if I'm pretty close to the activity center with my notebooks built in WIFI but I have a Cantenna from a couple of years ago and would like to know what usb wifi adapter with an attachable antenna would work best to receive the signal from further away using the Cantenna.

I've seen ads for 2000mw usb receivers but havent seen very good reviews. Or should I be looking for a wireless extender to plug into my network port and use the cantenna on that? Or is the Cantenna outdated and there's something all together different I should be looking for.

Lots of questions I know but any advise will be greatly appreciated!

why not simply buy UAWIFI UA3 at www.uawifi.com It will do all the job! It is adapter with integrated antenna. Just plug to USB and connect to any wifi hotspot!
