Hi all, I'm having all sorts of problems. To cut it short I need to boot my computer with a CD and format the SATA drive. Does anyone know of a small bootdisk that can easily format (I couldn't work out how to do it with the Nero bootdisk) my HDD. I am on 56k so I don't really want o have to download anything greater than 10MB, I just need to format the drive and thas it.

I believe that bootdisk.com has a bootable-to-NTFS floppy ($4) that can do that.

Another option is just to "borrow" any XP cd, and go to the Recovery Console (first instance of Repair) and invoke format from there.

You will need a floppy with your SATA hd drivers to help the install "see" the SATA drive. Put the floppy in as soon as you press F6 when prompted.
