Hmm that looks good too, I'd still have ~100$ more to spend though. If I upgrade to an i5 would I need a new board, or would it even be necessary to upgrade? I'm looking to spend 750$ at the very most

Yeah you can get i5 and if you have some money left i advise to get radeon 7950

3570k is made for overclocking, as i understood you're not planning to do it so, i5-3470 would be cheaper and just as good choice.
