Need GPU Upgrade Reconmmendations

Planning to get a big upgrade from my AMD Radeon HD 7700 series card and i want something that is compatible with my Gateway DX4870 comp. I also want a card that should be able to play most big graphical games at 1080p with reasonable fps.

If i could get responses asap that would be nice Thanks

you might have a issue with a larger majority of the new graphic cards. from a google search your computer does not support uefi limiting you to older cards

yea i tried installing a r9 390x and a gtx 980 but they didnt work

i have about 620$ but dont want to spend more than 400$ on a gpu and i manage to fit a r9 390x and a gtx 980 into my case

i run a hd 5970 in my current computer and it works pretty well but for almost any gpu you will need to upgrade the psu to something a lot bigger.

Got a inland 500w in my system currently recently boughtt a evga 600 b

ok that should work but 600 watts is still close to the minimum for a hd 5970. you can buy them used for less the 100 dollars. plus they are extremely easy to overclock.

where do you live? and yes that card will be a bit faster but i wouldn't pay over 100 for ether of these

ok check eBay for a hd 5970 i got one for $60 you could also get the other card but i dot think you will see too much of a difference between the two
