need guidence for buying the right graphics card

my computers specifications are - intel pentium dual core,1 gb ram..
i am confused between ati raedon hd 6670 or ati radeon r7 240
please guide me in choosing the right graphics care for my computer..
i want to run games like-dbz xenoverse,gta 5 etc...

Youll be able to run it, but itll be at low resolutions and low settings. Even then it most likely will be very laggy. 4gb of RAM isnt even enough for modern gaming. Its a bare minimum.

You wont be able to play anything even remotely modern with 1gb of RAM. So your choice of video cards really doesnt matter until you buy more RAM.

Didnt even notice that. Assumed it was core 2 duo, but a Pentium dual core with 1gb, never gonna run GTA V or anything in the last 5 years.

Don't you find it even a little important that we discover what the OP actually needs before recommending him a GPU that may not even work with his system?

I'm not recommending anybody waste their money on a GPU when we don't even know if he has larger than a 250w PSU yet.

You need to slow down and be more evaluative. This should have been your first post. You're making way too many assumptions about the OP, especially when they have a PC with only 1GB of RAM.

He has a socket 775 Motherboard that only supports DDR2 RAM. That CPU will not work and neither will the RAM selected earlier. Furthermore, PCI-e 3.0 isn't supported either. An entirely new computer is required if you want to use a modern video card.

That e5200 is socket 775 and i3 is socket 1150, that wont work with his mobo like blueberries stated above.

How old of a Pentium is it? If it's a Pentium 4 you should replace your whole computer before you look at video cards, and if so DDR3 RAM will not work.

That's absolutely fine. any DDR3 ram will be fine, just don't stack it over the RAM you have right now, get rid of that.

The GPU is the last part you add and all DDR3 modules are very different. There's no "any module will be fine" rule for RAM.
