need help about overclocking pentium d 915

Hello everyone, I run a Pentium D 915 with stock cooling on a Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 and 1024 DDR2 667; now my question is that: Could I overclock the processor without any volt mods up to 3Ghz (and without a different cooling) and would it make a difference in performance?

Yes, you could do that, no problem. You will barely notice any difference with that small of an overclock. GL

PS. Have you had that system running yet, as the Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 doesn't support the P915D yet, according to the CPU support list from Gigabyte?

Yes, you could do that, no problem. You will barely notice any difference with that small of an overclock. GL
