Question Need Help! Can my power supply handle a GTX 1060 6gb?

Any help is much appreciated! I am about to purchase a navidia GTX 1060 6gb graphics card and I need to know if my power supply will handle it or if I need to get a new one, here’s a link to it - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Powercool-Modular-550W-Single-Efficiency/dp/B00647IGIG

Yes. If it is truly a single rail power supply and you still have the 6-pin PCIe cables to plug in that GPU should be no problem. Assuming the rest of your system doesn't have an extreme power draw for some reason, should be fine if it is a typical single CPU consumer grade hardware.

Whether it is a trustworthy PSU is another matter entirely.

I would not trust that PSU to reliably power a desk lamp.

According to the specs it has 2 12v rails that combine for 370w, so they have lied at least twice. In short OP should get a better PSU.

Thanks! I will give it a go and see what happens, and it won’t damage my pc or anything will it? And if I need a new one do you have any suggestions for the replacement?

I think you should use a reliable power supply calculator first. There are many available over the internet, such as this one (https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator ).

Just enter your PC specs, including the GPU you're about to buy, and then you can find a good PSU within that wattage.

most PSU's made by seasonic, Corsair, or EVGA would be some of the most reliable and trustworthy ones
