Hey so my Acer Predator XB271HU is on its way out but has served me well for nearly 10 years. I really need to get something new but i'm struggling to find anything.
All im trying to find is a modern 1440p IPS monitor with 165hz refresh rate or higher that has G-sync, potentially 32inch in size if possible. I have been looking EVERYWHERE and i cannot find a thing. i was really hoping to pick something up while the amazon prime day deals are on which now end in 3 hours but i havent managed to find anything.

All i can seem to find is all the required specs that my current monitor has or better but theyre OLED. I have heard horror stories about OLED's for gaming. I can't be dealing with getting a monitor then in 12 months time find screen burns all over it. I've spend the last 10 years taking a care free approach to my screens since they arent OLED and i dont think i could rapidly change my behaviour around an OLED to avoid screen burn. Its really jarring since we're now moving into this era of everything needs to be HDR and OLED and for most games its not properly supported anyways. It just seems like useless marketing nonsense to me.

So if anyone could point me to any good quality modern IPS displays or even put my mind at ease about getting an OLED that would be great thank you.

Where are you located? What is your budget for your monitor's purchase? What is your preferred site for purchase?

You've mentioned the refresh rate and panel size, but you should also include the resolution you're looking for. Would also be a good idea to include the make and model of the GPU you wish to pair with your monitor purchase, for context.

Oh damn sorry forgot to put the resolution its 1440p. Im based in the UK and in terms of preferred site i dont have one its been forever since ive monitor shopped.
My GPU is an RTX 5090 and i know i know youre gonna say go 4K but i really dont want to, theres just way too many games that run like absolute garbage these days and i know for a fact ill end up buying a game going to play it and still on a monster like a 5090 get 45 fps. I'd rather stick to 1440p and have absolutely buttery smooth framerates across the board, than go 4k and and have certain games run meh, certain games run like shit and certain games run amazing.
