I will soon be moving into a new house in which I'd like to switch from what I presently use, multiple computers in multiple rooms, to have a single server (with back-up), which I can access from several rooms. In each room I would like to simply have a display, keyboard and mouse, if possible. What kind of server setup and displays would I need to do this? I am not savvy enough to operate a proper client/server network, that's one reason I want to keep it simple like this. I'm also seeking recommendations for specific models of server, with hopefully a back-up server and NAS. I do a lot of music production, streaming media and gaming, so it'll have to be a server with some major processing power. Thanks.

OK, then, it should still be possible to do without a client/server setup, I think. I have several computers in different rooms all accessing my NAS. Then I suppose I'll need to mirror the NAS, either within the same unit or a separate one. Do I even need a server, then? Any recommendations on NAS models?
