Hi PC experts, I need your help to decide which monitor to get (4-5 year without changing it).
I use the PC for GAMING. Mainly MOBAs and Overwatch. Also games like Tomb Rider, Witcher 3, GTAV…

My actual system is:

MB: Asus Z97 I-PLUS
Cooling: Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H100i
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 GAMING 6GB DDR5 No OC.
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB 2x4GB CL7
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K OC 4.2 Ghz
Storage: Samsung 840 Evo SSD Series 250GB SATA3 // Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB SATA3
PSU: Tacens Valeo V 700W 80 Plus Silver Modular
Monitor: Samsung 24” VA 60Hz 1080p .

I was OK with my monitor for MOBAs, but now I hate it for Overwatch. So I was thinking to change it this summer. (I cannot have two monitors so keeping the actual one and buying a TN monitor is not an option)

I am a little scared of the TN panel, after having IPS and VA monitors I think is going to be difficult to adjust to it, but I do want to try the 144Hz and gsync. The issue is that there is no IPS or VA, 24”, 144Hz gsync monitor at the moment.
So the two 27” acer monitors I have in mind are:
a) 27” 1440p IPS gsync 165Hz 775 €
b) Curved 27” 1080p VA gsnyc 144Hz 599 €

The first one is a monster, but with a ITX motherboard and no possible additional GPU, I will keep with the 980 ti some time, and I don’t think this GPU will go beyond the 60FPS in 1440p for Ultra/High in new games.
The second one seems to me too expensive for a 1080p, but my GPU would run the 144Hz all Ulta/High games for some years.

So should I pay the extra for the 1440p monitor and enjoy the new resolution and maybe be a more futureproof monitor. Or I should go for the 1080p and enjoy the 144Hz now?

What do you ppl think would be the best of the two monitors to go for?

THANK YOU!
