Hi all. I am currently finalizing my parts list on pcpartpicker. My first pc build (FX 8350/R9 280X) is very long in the tooth and I think the PSU finally died. I just bought a Ryzen 7 7700X because it was only $30 more than the Ryzen 5 7600X during Labor Day sale last week. I've done extensive research but am trying to decide which motherboard to get. I've been looking at the ASRock B650 PG Lightning and the Live Mixer based on my research but a I am no pc expert and need help. The only parts I have bought are the CPU and the Fractal Design case listed below. Any comments/help by those who know better are greatly appreciated! I am open to getting an AIO instead of an air cooler if it is not too expensive, but I don't plan on overclocking. Also, I am looking at 5200 RAM because I am not sure if I want to tweak the RAM speeds to 6000 unless it is easy for a non-expert to do.

Intended Use: Everyday home PC plus ability to play any game I want. I am ok with 1080P gaming but may upgrade monitor in future. I like flight sims, racing games (such as F1 games), and EA Sports FC.

Ram kits with AMD's E.X.P.O advertised on them will be easily accessible in BIOS for your motherboard. Enable it and you should be good to go.

Swap the ram out for this;

Can you state what you're absolute budget for the new build is? You mentioned Labor Day sale, so it's safe to assume you're located in the USA.

Thank you for the info. I will get faster RAM if it is that easy. Yes, I am in the USA. I am open to increasing my budget a little more for RAM because I want this pc to last for a while. I am willing to spend $140-$190 USD for the motherboard.

How does this RAM look? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LB...-ddr5-6000-cl30-memory-f5-6000j3038f16gx2-fx5

That looks OK to me.

Take a look at your motherboard spec sheet to see what it officially supports.

Take a look at the qualified memory list for that board at Asrock to see if that memory is on the list. It doesn't have to be.

You might consider spending up near 200 on a board, possibly micro ATX.

Great, thank you. The motherboard does have DDR5-6000 on the list.

You want DDR5-6000 CL30. Add a 120mm exhaust fan to that case and size up on your psu.

Thank you. I already changed my RAM and I just added that exhaust fan you recommended to my parts list. I will also change the PSU.
