Hey guys,
So for the past few years I have been using the Turtle Beach PX22 Universal headset, and I love these things.
To me, the audio sounds great, friends say the mic sounds good, and the main thing is that I love the inline amplifier which allows me to separately control chat and game volume levels, bass, and treble.
However, there is a problem, I've gone through 3 pairs of these headphones (on my 4th) in just the past 2-3 years. This is due to the sides of the head-bands being made out of a cheap plastic, that causes them to slowly crack, and then before you know it they break off the ear cup from the headband.
This is very frustrating, and I seek help for 1 of two solutions, either finding a way to fix the "cracking problem" so I don't have to keep throwing away money on new pairs, OR finding a pair of headphones that are similar to the PX22 in the ways of having 2-way volume manager (the inline amp.), and preferably in my budget of less than $100.
I'm sorry for the long post, I just wanted to try and include everything so that people woulnd't need more information from me.
I appreciate any comments and help people provide.
