Question Need help finding new parts for my old PC - - - budget $600 ?

I just want a pc that will run modern day games above 60fps on decent settings and maybe competitive games on low settings but a consistent frame rate above 240, and I feel like that might be asking too much, but but I'd take anything above 120. I think I need a CPU, GPU, and MOBO upgrade. They would replace the old parts.

Actually considering something similar myself, but I’ve got a ryzen 5 5500, which isn’t quite as old as yours, but I’m looking at maybe picking up an i5 13400, b660 or b760 board, and see about reusing my existing ram.

In my case since I want to stay around 300, I’ll likely keep my 5600xt gpu which is similar in performance to your 2060, but if you could trade in or sell your current hardware and gpu, then you might have some money left over for say an rtx 4070 or a 7800xt.
