Hey all! Im willing to upgrade my current build which is really bad... When i built it i didnt know much about PC parts (not that i do now😀).
My current rig is:
Motherboard: Asus H81M-A
CPU: i5 4690k
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 750ti OC(factory OC)
RAM: Corsair 2x4gb DDR3
Power Supply: It's old i dont really know what is it i haven't experienced problems.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A friend is upgrading to a GTX 1080ti and he is willing to sell me his GTX 980 on a really low price.
My question is what motherboard should i buy to fully support the GTX 980 and what is a good PowerSupply? I am not into overclocking so i'm searching for a motherboard which will support them without problem not to overclock them.
I am thinking of keeping my i5 4690k and the 2x4gb DDR3.
My other question is do i need any extra coolers for this or not?

Let's really go back to talking about your power supply. It is the key factor whether you can upgrade the GPU or not.

The GTX 750 Ti is one of the lightest graphics cards on the market. The GTX 980 is a lot heavier. Your power supply will have to do a lot more work.

My mobo has pci 2.0 support only and the GTX 980 uses a pci 3.0 is it still gonna run 100% perf ?

Also a cheap SSD like 250 or 500 gb ?

what is the difference between this and the other which the other guy suggested they are both seasonic ? but still ?
