Hello. I've build the pc of the post below (with the changes at the specific post) and past few months, I've noticed some weird problems.
First it seems like some usb slots didn't get consistent power, leading to things like a nebula projector fluctuating light. They were really minor, I thought it was cables not having proper contact or maybe dust. Then my second monitor started having lines like artifacts for less than a second, but it also had problems with chrome tabs leaving a background image on one corner. It was an old one and I've recently removed it and left only the main monitor which is the one in the post.
Now I usually play a game full screen (like warframe, path of exile, or some single player ones) with lowered graphics for smootheness and less stress on the gpu, and have apps like discord in the background and maybe a twitch stream or 2-3 chrome tabs. Sometimes the monitor had also some lines appearing but not consistent enough to evaluate the problem, which prompted me to test a new cable with 144hz refresh rate (old one probably didn't have that mode). It lessened the problem to literally almost never appearing. Then I realized that a game + a chrome tab with video playing (youtube, twitch, etc.) stressed the gpu a bit but not to problems occuring. In path of exile I see the cpu is almost working at a maximum, but I think it's due to the specific game which is kind of demanding of hardware.
I had the pc restart on its own seldom (like 1-2 times in the past 5-6 months) but today I tried alt tabbing from warframe to chrome (3 tabs open, one from twitch and 2 from static image websites) and pc got stuck, sound was looping until it crashed and restarted. Any ideas what might be at fault here?

Solution
Should be P1.10 if I'm reading it correctly.
Also, I have run passmark test and got these results but memtest doesn't show anything problematic with ram. Probably it's at 29% due to it being only 16gb or maybe lower clock speed than newer ones, I guess.

The latest bios is F19b. Your seems outdated. Try the bios update. It very well mjay fix the issue.

Let us know how that goes.

It might be due to the heat, but today it stopped at the Asrock logo with the number 98 top right and never got past it. Had to force shutdown and start it again to work.

You mention chrome a lot and if you have MSI Afterburner doing nothing but having chrome open watch MSI just how much chrome digs into and kicks up the GPU while your on the internet.

Add your gaming, have chrome open and discord all at the same time.

I would turn off hardware acceleration in chrome and also in discord. See if things smooth out.:)

Ok after updating the bios to v. 3.40, I had the pc stopping at the asrock logo (without the loading animation that goes into windows after it), then black screen while the pc was on. Now I got a blue screen while trying to start it, prompting for repair with the error 0xc0000428, which when I restarted ended up again with the black screen. Restart got me into BIOS that was missing 2 of the 3 disks, only the nvme (windows one) was shown. Then, exiting made the pc boot properly to windows.
There were a couple of windows updates today as well so that might be the case? There is an error (0x80070643) there as well now when checking for updates.

Edit: new boot, didn't go to the asrock logo at all. changed the settings in bios to show normal POST messages instead of the logo and actually loaded almost instant to windows (fast boot is disabled).
Edit2: nope, restarted to test and didn't even POST, just stayed as a black screen
Edit3: at least there doesn't seem to be any other issue for now

In 3 days, the problems with games, chrome, etc where fixed but now there is a new that happens everytime.

When I first boot the pc it won't go to POST, and will sometimes pop the blue screen prompting for repair with the error 0xc000042. In bios the only bootable device recognized is the nvme, not showing a ssd and hdd for boot. They don't have windows, but were shown before.
If I force shutdown via button and boot the pc again, it works properly.

I'm going to do a repair of windows from a bootable usb just in case, but any ideas what might be the fault or if there is some better solution?
Also, I think I'm going to keep the pc on and just use sleep instead of shut down and see if it's ok

Sorry for the delayed response, took me some time to figure how to do it with the pc not posting. I repaired the windows by installing them on top of the current installation from a usb but the problem persists. It seems as if the first time the pc tries to switch on, it never does anything and does not POST. However, if I force shutdown via button and switch it on again, it works normally. This happened while installing windows again and thankfully it didn't mess it up, because it never booted anything in those faulty switch-ons.

Could this be a power problem (psu, mobo) ?

Just to be safe I am getting a backup of the nvme with windows to format it and install windows from scratch and will try to see if I can reset mobo with cmos battery.

Not sure. It could be.

Did you clear CMOS after the bios update? This is a very important part of the process.

P>S Apologies for the late reply.
No worries, I am not rushing it here. I will do it in the weekend.
Today, on a restart and when I tried to remove any remaining electric power in the system by unplugging it from the power and pressing the switch on button, when it reached the Asrock (windows loading) logo, it shut down on its own. After that I switched it on and it booted up normally.
I will be back with the result of the CMOS reset.

I have no idea what's going on anymore but the pc is booting normally now, without clearing CMOS. Tried shutdown, restart and both work properly. The only thing I did was just the possible release of power trapped in the system on Friday and the windows repair before that, in case all this happened because of a faulty update (as mentioned earlier in the thread).
I've noticed that there is a fan sound either when I start Steam or when the pc is on heavy duty, but that might be some new dust that gathered.
Either way, I guess I will consider this topic closed and just open a new thread and redirect here in case it happens again.

Excellent. Yes, do that. Glad it's working for you now.

Just to add to this after some days have passed. I swapped the ram with the same ones but 32gb (for future upgrades) and while XMP was enabled it, I put it on the actual RAM speed (3200 hz) instead of 2133 hz, and the problem has stopped completely. Could have been a faulty ram set.
