Need help identifying if gpu will work with motherboard

Hello, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to PC's in general i was wondering even though this is a dumb question if someone may be able to tell me if a AMD gpu will work with my motherboard
Here are the ones i am trying to see if are compatiable:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX H270F GAMING LGA 1151 Intel H270 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Motherboards - Intel

GPU: Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP OC Version (UEFI) PCI-Express Graphics Card 11221-02-40G

The R9 290 should work fine with your MB, but you will need a 600W PSU with 31Amp on the +12V rail. Otherwise your PC will not boot.
