I'm trying to install the nVidia GeForece 750 SC in an Asus m11bb-us012s desktop. The BIOS is set so that PCIe is the default. When I plug the new card in there is no video from either the integrated graphics or from the GTX 750 SC. I'm not sure where to go from here.

Did you uninstall all the old drivers from the previous graphics card or integrated graphics? Take out the GTX 750, boot with the old graphics card/integrated graphics and use DDU in safe mode to remove all drivers. Then install the GTX 750, and try booting again. If you can, install the latest drivers from Nvidia.

Thanks for the quick responses guys.

I didn't do anything with the Windows drivers because my thought was the problem is happening before I ever get to boot to the OS. I can't even get into the BIOS once the new card is installed.

By the way, there is no previous card, this is an attempt at replacing the integrated video.

I was about to question Woody about the UEFI piece of this since I honestly don't fully understand how that ties things together and then I saw the question from SR-71 Yes, it does have UEFI so while my first thought was uninstalling drivers while in Windows didn't make sense, perhaps because of the UEFI I do need to do that?

I have no idea what UEFI has to do with this, but removing the drivers is often a necessary step before installing a new graphics card. The conflicting graphics drivers really confuse the computer.

Does the PC boot if you remove the graphics card?

If I take out the new card, it boots right up as normal. I shut it down, put geforce card in and then i get no display from either integrated or card video so I can't tell what's going on.

Okay, boot without the graphics card, then download Display Driver Uninstaller. Boot into safe mode and then run the new program. Remove all display drivers from your system, and then try booting with the new card.

Well it's finally working. BIOS update did the trick. The ASUS BIOS manager kept saying it was up to date but I decided to do some research and found I was on v307 and v403 was available from the ASUS website. Not sure why the utility didn't suggest an upgrade but I downloaded the v403 .CAP file, used the BIOS update tool to flash the BIOS, rebooted into the BIOS to confirm the new version then turned off the PC. I then plugged in the GTX 750 SC and when I powered it up, viola....video coming from the new card!

Thank you both for your quick responses...it's greatly appreciated!!
