Hi all, I think I've reached 3.50 GHz on air.

Configuration: Q6600 G0 + Asus Striker II Formula Bios 1401. For more details you can ask there.

I've attached screen of test running 8 hours with 4 threads of Prime 95.
if you like to know what settings I've used for reach this result, ask there (you'll probably need registration).

Anyone reached 3.60 GHz? I cannot reach 400x9 stable. any suggestion?

You'll need to increase VTT voltage up to 1.42v ~ 1.50v.
Let me know if something goes better!

It will be greate if you post your details setting here.

I the link you provided is for spanish forum which i cannot understand spanish and i am not sure how i can register there.

Updated settings HERE. The forum is italian but I wrote settings in english. You'll be able to understand!

Let me know if it helped you!

You've PM...

I used Xtreem Dark of TeamGoup, 800 MHz 5-5-5-15 2T, vMem Auto (1.9 I think), for more details you know know where can ask for :)

Were those settings good for you? Did you boot windows?

Folks,

I was able to boot windows on 3.50 with the follwing setting:

All Thermal Control = Disabled
All Spread Spectrum = Disabled
FSB = 1556 MHz
Molt. = x 9
Final Freq = 3.51 GHz

Voltage controls:

CPU vCore = 1,55 v
CPU PLL = 1,66v
CPU VTT 1,50 v
MEM = auto
NB core = 1,44v
SB Core = 1,50v
1.2v HT = 1,20v
Bridge = auto

CPU GTL ref ratio = +50 mV
NB GTç ref ratio = +30 mV

OCZ Reaper HPC DDR2 800 (5-5-5-18-T2)

BUT I am not able to pass the Small or Blend prime test casue it fails.

What to do now ?

So, what about trying to set Vcore to 1,4625 V ?
Are you using a G0 Sepping Processor? Can you update CPU-Z screen shots?

Upload your images there.

Paste the image links in here.

Also, do the blend test with Prime! And remember what happens!

Don't worry, it's not the CPU at all, its the mother board and chipset. (And prolly your RAM, or the seamless strap bull shiznit causing it.)

I think that I will downgrade the bios from 1401 to 1001.

I was able before to OC to 3.2 and pass all the tests on bios ver 1001 but from time to time I was get a blue screen

I tried the CPU level up on bios 1401 and it is not working, but in bios 1001 it is working.

I have a feeling the 1401 is not a good version

What do you think ? Lupiron

The second program is HWMonitor, there is a newer version than that out. ALSO Down Load Core temp.

Now what are the problems in full?

The temps with HWMonitor... testing temps?

Anyways, we need BIOS shots, not HWMonitor, or any others for now!

or at least, I do!

OK Here is what happing exactly.

I have Asus Striker II mother board with ver 1001 and I have applied the follwing voltages setting on the bios to OC to 3.0:

QDR 1333
DDR 800
mulit 9x

voltages are

CPU Voltage = 1.40v
CPU PLL Voltage = 1.5v
CPU VTT Voltage = 1.20v
Memory Voltage = 2.1v
NB Core Voltage = 1.40v
SB Core Voltage = 1.50v

it is working fine and I pass all prime 95 tests but once or twice a week for some time I am getting a blue screen of :

*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
*** The system has halted ***

As a second try, I have keep all the above setting same but change the voltages to AUTO. I did not get the blue screen again but the CPU is heated very quickly and the temp reach 70c within hours and then the system shutdown automatically becaus of heat.

Then, I tried the follwing:

I upgraded the bios to ver 1401 (latest) and apply the same above setting with the follwing votages:

CPU Voltage = 1.40v
CPU PLL Voltage = 1.5v
CPU VTT Voltage = 1.20v
Memory Voltage = 2.1v
NB Core Voltage = 1.40v
SB Core Voltage = 1.50v

BUT I was not able to boot windows this time but I was able to boot waindows with the same setting on bios ver 1001.

I have changed the setting on bios ver 1401 to the following:

All Thermal Control = Disabled
All Spread Spectrum = Disabled
FSB = 1556 MHz
Molt. = x 9
Final Freq = 3.51 GHz

Voltage controls:

CPU vCore = 1,55 v
CPU PLL = 1,66v
CPU VTT 1,50 v
MEM = auto
NB core = 1,44v
SB Core = 1,50v
1.2v HT = 1,20v
Bridge = auto

CPU GTL ref ratio = +50 mV
NB GTç ref ratio = +30 mV

BUT this time I cannot pass any prime 95 test and the system hangs after 30mins.

Do you think it is a bios proplem?
