Question Need help on sata multiplier

hy everyone, i'm trying to connect 2 or more hdd's to one sata port on my motherboard using this multiplier, but for some reason only port 3 is working/recognizes a hdd. no matter what hdd i connect to it. Port 3 is the one in the middle and the closest to the chip on that board.

Any ideas, drivers or something?

i'm using Windows 10 Home btw

If it were me, I'd just figure faulty hardware.
Can you test it in a different system?

Why the need for a port multiplier? How many drives are you working with?

i didn't try it in different system but i could ...
so i'm trying to build a storage HAS, but with being able to upload on youtube from it so i don't have to keep my main pc on. (it goes to sleep wen not used)
the board that i'm working with, is a mini stx h110 from asus and only has 2 sata ports
and that port multiplier is new, i just bought it on ebay

currently i only have 2 drives but it would be nice to be able to add more if needed
